It’s time once again to celebrate our freedom and a favorite local tradition is prepping to kick it off right. “Each year, the Field of Flags creates a powerful tribute to the men and women who have served our country, our communities, and the causes we hold dear,” shares the Vernal City announcement. “Thousands of flags transform Freestone Legacy Walking Park into a place of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance.” Volunteers are always needed for this joint community effort, specifically for Flag Setup on June 27th at 9am and Flag Take Down on July 6th at 5pm. Volunteers are asked to sign up through the link shared with this story on BasinNow.com or on the Vernal City Facebook page. Also make note that the Patriotic Program will take place on Sunday, June 28th at 6pm at the Colton Pavilion in Vernal. Nominate a loved one, veteran, active service member, or someone special with a ribbon dedication for just $10. Ribbons will be displayed with the Field of Flags throughout the event.
