The statewide drought has created the need for all to learn to do things differently this year with their yards and landscaping. On Thursday, June 18, at 6pm, Uintah County is hosting a free ‘Localscapes: Creating Your Ideal Utah Yard Workshop’ in the Community Development Office of the Uintah County building. “Participants will learn practical design principles for creating an attractive landscape that uses less water, requires less maintenance, and is better suited to Utah’s climate,” shares the announcement. “The workshop covers the five-step Localscapes approach and provides ideas you can apply to your own yard. A complete landscape makeover or simply to improve curb appeal while reducing water use, this class is a great place to start.”
