Young baseball players are taking over the town this weekend for another great year of the Uintah Basin Bash Baseball Tournament. This is the 16th year for the event and this year’s tournament will host 54 teams, utilizing 11 fields for games in Vernal and Naples. The teams range from 8U to 14U and are from Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. “Thousands of people will be here this weekend to enjoy competitive baseball,” shares Brandon Wilkins with the Uintah Basin Bash Baseball Tournament. “I’m guessing around 1800 to 2000 people. They will staying at hotels and eating at local restaurants. A big thanks to all those who have helped to sponsor the tournament. Play ball!” Games will run from 8am to 9pm both Friday and Saturday.
