A man with at least 2 prior DUI convictions was arrested in Uintah County this week and charged with another one. According to the Probable Cause Statement, on May 26, an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain the lane of travel. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed that an odor consistent with alcohol was emanating from his breath. The driver consented to field sobriety tests, at the conclusion of which it was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs to a degree that he was not capable of safely operating a motor vehicle. The driver tested positive for alcohol on a portable breath test and consented to a blood draw. 40-year-old Christian Brenning Davis was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony DUI. Davis has at least two prior convictions for DUI within the last 10 years.
