Several years in the making, today is the official ribbon cutting celebration for the Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata. In case you’re unsure what that is, the Via Ferrata is a vertical trail system equipped with steel cables, ladders, and fixed anchors that allows for a safe climbing experience on the steep terrain of Ashley Gorge in the Ashley National Forest in Uintah County. The Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata is the first free public via ferrata in Utah. The community is invited to today’s celebration where Visit Dinosaurland will officially kick things off, celebrating the partnerships, planning, and hard work that helped bring this project to life. Today’s ribbon cutting is at noon. Learn more at ashleygorgeviaferrata.com.
