Roosevelt Man Arrested In SLC On Alleged Assault And Kidnapping

A Roosevelt man was arrested on Saturday in Salt Lake County after allegedly kidnapping a victim, beating her with a horse whip, and threatening her at gunpoint. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 52-year-old Branden Lee Vincent allegedly forced the victim into his vehicle, striking her with a horse whip, cowboy boot, and his fists, causing substantial visible injuries to the victim’s face and arms. The intent was to drive to their residence in Roosevelt. While enroute, Vincent stopped, forced the victim to undress at gunpoint, and ordered her to run. Vincent pursued her, caught her, and then forcibly returned her to the vehicle at gunpoint, then drove back towards Salt Lake City. Vincent allegedly continued to punch, choke, whip, and strike the victim. They went to Vincent’s friend’s home. When Vincent fell asleep, the victim escaped the residence and contacted police. Brandon Lee Vincent was arrested for the offenses of Aggravated Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and Aggravated Kidnapping.
