The Utah Republican Party held their State Convention on Saturday. Incumbent candidates Ron Winterton for Senate District 20 and Scott Chew for House District 68 are the Republican Nominees by acclamation. For House District 67, JR Bird became the Republican Nominee with 88.8% of the votes over Yvonne Jensen with 11.1%. In Round 1 for the 3rd Congressional District, Tyler Murset and David Harris were eliminated while Celeste Maloy and Phil Lyman advanced. In Round 2, Celeste Maloy received 50.9% of the vote and Phil Lyman received 49.1%, meaning both will advance to the Primary election.
