Water was an important topic during last week’s Vernal City Council meeting. “A major focus of the meeting was the discussion of proposed water rate adjustments and conservation strategies,” shares the Vernal City announcement. “With aging infrastructure and anticipated water shortages, City staff and Councilmembers emphasized the importance of balancing responsible water use with the impacts on residents and local businesses.” A public hearing on ‘Proposed Tiered Water Rates’ will be held during a Special City Council Meeting on April 29th at 6pm at Vernal City Hall. Vernal City aims to gather input and ensure the community is informed and involved moving forward.
