A local who was arrested and charged for Graffiti and Criminal Trespass last month is facing a new charge as evidence has tied him with additional vandalism. 37-year-old Vincent Scott Webb was arrested last month for graffiti and damage inside the fenced area of the baseball diamonds in the Vernal City Park as well as for spray painting bathroom walls in a local business. Because Webb was on parole with AP&P, a home visit was conducted at that time, during which multiple items of evidence were located. Webb’s phone was seized and a phone search warrant was served. During the search of the phone, 72 photos were copied related to graffiti. Among those was a picture of graffiti vandalism done on the Steinaker Service Canal wall. The General Manager of the Service Canal confirmed that there had recently been three large graffiti paintings and they had paid a contractor several thousand dollars to clean and repaint those sections to discourage more graffiti. Court documents show that Vincent Scott Webb now has a new charge of 3rd Degree Felony Graffiti in addition to the previous charges. On April 7th, the judge filed an order to hold Webb without bail. He’s scheduled to appear in court on April 13th.
