A man with known warrants was arrested at a gas station in Duchesne City last week. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, an officer on patrol observed the black SUV known to be owned by Christopher Prieto who was wanted on at least 2 statewide warrants for an arrest involving drugs. The SUV pulled into the parking lot of a gas station and Prieto entered the store. The officer waited in the parking lot for Prieto to exit which did not happen in a reasonable amount of time. The officer went inside the store to attempt to locate Prieto when he was observed about to exit the bathroom. Prieto turned around before again coming out. When they exited the store, Prieto was placed into handcuffs. Two pipes were found on his person with residue that tested positive for fentanyl. 47-year-old Christopher Robert Prieto was transported to the hospital for medical clearance and was booked into Duchesne County Jail. He now faces additional drug charges.
