The Tabiona Tigers girls basketball team are the 1A State Champions! This hardworking team made the 1A championship game four years running and, for the last three, walked away with a respectable 2nd place. This year everything came together for the win over the Rich Rebels. Something that anyone paying attention noticed during the tournament was the presence of a special honorary teammate with the Tabiona Tigers. The team carried a large framed photo of Miley Rhoades with them. Miley would have been there playing her heart out with her friends and teammates if not for a tragic UTV accident that took her life in 2023. In the celebration and pictures that followed, the team held up their very own State Championship trophy alongside the picture of their teammate who was never forgotten.
