Project Authorizations In Uintah Basin

by | Mar 2, 2026 | News | 0 comments

The BLM issued several authorizations on Friday, including two in the Uintah Basin. First, the BLM authorized 5 new oil wells for the Evelyn Project in Duchesne County. The record of decision authorizes Fourpoint Resources to drill five oil wells from a well pad on private land about 4 miles northeast of Myton. Second, the BLM authorized a project for spring restoration and protection on Diamond Mountain and Goslin Mountain in Uintah County. The BLM will construct enclosure fences around 5 springs and in-stream Zeedyk structures in Goslin Creek to alleviate livestock grazing pressure on the springs and stream channel. For more information on either authorization, contact the BLM Vernal Field Office.
