A Uintah County man who pleaded guilty in January to two separate cases of 3rd Degree Felony Forcible Sexual Abuse has been sentenced. 20-year-old Kelby Lane was originally charged with multiple counts of 1st Degree Felony Rape and Forcible Sodomy. The sentencing based on his reduced conviction of Forcible Sexual Abuse resulted in a term not to exceed 5 years in prison with the prison term suspended. Instead, Kelby Lane was sentenced to a term of 365 days in Uintah County Jail with credit for time served, meaning he will serve 72 remaining days in jail. The jail sentences of both convictions will run concurrently. Once released, Kelby Lane will serve 24 to 48 months on probation.
