Vernal’s ‘Night to Shine’ held on Friday lived up to its reputation as the best event of the year! 117 special guests and nearly 400 volunteers partied the night away at the Vernal Christian Church for the red carpet prom night for individuals with special needs, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. “What a fantastic night,” shares Pastor Schaun Collins. “The beautiful thing about Night to Shine is that our guests are the focus. They’re the stars. They’re not normally celebrated and lifted up in regular life, but on this night, they are cherished and celebrated. I love seeing the smiles and seeing these beautiful people come out of their shells. I also love the fact that our community truly gets behind this event.” Pastor Schaun says this is an all hands on deck kind of event. “In a world where there is so much division, this is something that we can all be united around,” says Pastor Schaun. “Loving the least served people in our community. There is nothing to be gained except creating an opportunity for our guests to have the time of their lives. It’s the most honest expression of joy.”
