Senator Ron Winterton’s bill seeking to address the release of chemicals from aircrafts, or so-called ‘Chemtrails’, has failed to move forward. SB23 ‘Airborne Chemicals Amendments’, sought to establish that the release of a chemical or substance from an aircraft for the purpose of solar geoengineering is a third-degree felony and it would have provided a means for a person to submit information regarding suspected solar geoengineering. The Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Interim Committee recommended the bill. On February 5th, SB23 was voted down by the Senate Government Operations and Political Subdivisions Committee. This is the second year a bill sponsored by Senator Winterton to address ‘Chemtrails’ failed to move forward.
