Stolen Vehicle Pulled Over In Jensen Area

A man was arrested in Uintah County after being pulled over in a vehicle that had been stolen. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, an officer clocked a vehicle on Highway 40 in Jensen that was speeding and conducted a traffic stop. The plate on the black Honda Ridgeline was only a temporary tag that was not legible and the officer noted that the date appeared to be written on with black marker. A records check revealed that the vehicle was stolen out of Oklahoma. The driver said his company bought the vehicle at an auction but did not have any paperwork available. 64-year-old Jay Gid Bryan was arrested and is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle, 3rd Degree Felony Forgery of a Plate/Permit, Open Container in a Vehicle on the Highway, and Speeding.
