Newly elected Naples City Mayor Brock Arnold recently visited the Evans Family Media studios for an interview on the challenges and priorities for Naples City now and into the future. When asked about where Naples is currently at, Arnold emphasized that he is proud to live in Naples. “I feel they’ve done an incredible job of remaining fiscally solvent,” shares Mayor Arnold. “They’ve done a great job of not raising property taxes and still being able to offer good amenities to the citizens. You know a town this size shouldn’t have a police force frankly. It’s amazing to me that they can afford to do it and offer that service to the residents of Naples City. It’s a testament to those that came before and their ability to manage that budget and keep that going and I think it’s a draw for people.” Mayor Arnold says some of the major challenges for the future are going to be housing, water connections, keeping up with that budget, trying not to raise property tax, and continuing to fund things through as low of taxes as possible. Mayor Arnold went into deeper discussion on water, housing, and planning for the future.
