Mild winter weather is making for a long construction season. Roosevelt City announced this week that construction has begun just North of State Street and 300 North. It is expected that the roadway will remain open with two lanes of traffic this week but beginning next week, the roadway will be reduced to one lane of traffic and a signal light will be used to control traffic, causing delays. “The contractor will begin slip lining the culvert and widening the slopes on the roadway,” shares the announcement. “This will continue with a one lane road as the contractor is doing work on the shoulders until the later part of February. At that point, the roadway will then be opened to both lanes.” Paving is anticipated around the first part of May.
