Prescribed burning is common this time of year. The most recent announcement is within the Ashley National Forest where they will be conducting additional pile burns. Ashley National Forest crews will resume pile burning near Marsh Bench on the Vernal Ranger District starting Wednesday, January 21st. There are no burn-related closures in effect and smoke may be visible. Over-snow vehicle users are asked to please slow down and use extra caution if you encounter smoke. Burn operations always depend upon weather conditions.
