A Utah State University program is making a difference in the Uintah Basin and across the state. The USU Extension’s E-Commerce Accelerator (ECA) program helps small businesses in rural Utah grow through online sales. It was created as part of the Rural Online Initiative (ROI), a program of Utah State University Extension. The ECA is designed to assist agricultural and rural businesses by providing personalized training to navigate the digital world and increase sales revenue through e-commerce. One of their success stories comes from Duchesne County. Kiersten Monks with B&KM Farm says, “Finding the ECA program has been game changing for my small Duchesne County business. We’ve gotten so many more sales from our website since we began working the ECA about a year ago. We have made over $8,000 in online sales alone.” Learn more about this program at extension.usu.edu.
