A Rangely High School graduate is making his mark on the world and the Town of Rangely is helping share the exciting news. Aaron Parson is a class of 1998 RHS graduate who is now a PhD astrophysicist and professor at UC Berkeley. He is also a recently published science-fiction author with his book ‘Coherence’. “While the genre is science fiction, the story is not about outer space or aliens. It is set in the near future and follows a graduate physics student whose research and personal life become entangled with a powerful artificial intelligence project,” shares the announcement. “As the story unfolds, it explores how advanced technology can be used to manipulate information, influence what people believe, and blur the line between truth and fabrication. The book also includes lightly disguised references to Aaron’s Western Slope roots and Rangely, which he calls ‘Dragon’ in the story.” Learn more about this Rangely High School graduate and his work at www.AaronRParsons.com
