A welfare check in Uintah County resulted in the arrest of a man with multiple warrants. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers were conducting the welfare check on an individual believed to be staying at a residence near 1000 West 700 South in Vernal. While there, officers performed a warrant check on 46-year-old Randon Lee Nakai who was found to have three active statewide warrants. A pipe with a white substance believed to be Methamphetamine was found on Randon’s person. He was booked into Uintah County Jail and is now additionally charged with 3rd Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
