A local photographer and his shot taken of sandhill crane on the Green River is featured on the cover of the 2026 “My Utah” Calendar as the winner of the Bank of Utah photo contest. This was winner Ty Draper’s first time entering a photo contest. “I enjoy photography for the personal challenge, the fun and the connection with the beauty I see in the world,” shares Draper. “I have been a dedicated amateur photographer for over 20 years but have never entered any contest before this one. Contests help us share our successes and inspire each other to improve. There were so many entries I found honestly inspirational.” Draper’s photo is not only featured in the 2026 calendar. It is also featured on freeway billboards along the Wasatch Front. Congratulations to Ty Draper on his much deserved award!
