A night spent together at the theatre has become a part of holiday traditions for many local families and ‘Annie’ at Vernal Theatre Live has provided the fun and joy anticipated during the show’s first two nights. Something special about the cast is that there are many families with multiple members performing together. In fact, many of those orphans are actually sharing the stage with their real life mom or dad. Among the youngest stars is 6-year-old Charly Stoddard who plays Molly. Even though it’s her first show, not an ounce of nerves could be detected as she sang solo parts and delivered her lines like a pro. When asked why she wanted to do a show, Charly just pointed at her dad standing next to her. Grant Stoddard plays Rooster in this production of ‘Annie’ and is another actor clearly having a great time sharing his talents. Being part of ‘Annie’ has been a family affair for the Stoddards with sister Cora in the cast as well. That’s the case for many of the actors who take the stage and bring the community entertainment.
