UDOT Announces Winter Shutdown For US-191 Indian Canyon Construction

If you’re traveling Indian Canyon on US-191 you’re going to be seeing a lot less orange. UDOT announced on Friday that crews would be working over the weekend to remove traffic control from the area to prepare for a winter shutdown with the goal of having all crews and equipment off the road by Saturday. “Construction will resume in the spring, with crews expected to begin work on the south end of the road and moving north as the weather improves,” shares the announcement. “Work next season will focus on improvements at the Indian Canyon Summit and to the south. Crews will be widening the road to provide bigger road shoulders and chain up/off areas, improving pull-off and brake check areas, and repaving.” If you have any questions about work in Indian Canyon, please contact the project team at us191indiancanyon@utah.gov or 435-264-3448.
