The start of an annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will include a lot more than just the magical lighting moment. ‘Light Up Vernal’ is a community event happening in the park in front of the Uintah County Library and will include a family fun zone, vendor booths, food trucks, and Santa from noon to 6pm, as well as pony rides and live performances at select times. One of the large trees in the park is now strung with over 30,000 lights and the lighting ceremony will happen at 5pm. “This is a FREE community event, and we invite everyone to come celebrate the season with us!” shares the announcement. “Please bring a new or gently used toy to help support local foster families this Christmas. Let’s come together and make a difference! We can’t wait to light up Vernal with you!”
