A couple arrested in Wyoming have charges waiting for them in Uintah County after a series of alleged criminal events. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers responded to a burglary at the USDA Building on 500 West in Vernal on November 4th. It was found someone had entered from a back window, likely using a crowbar, and 2 laptops, 2 Garmin GPS units, an iPhone, keys, and a 2020 Ford F-150 were missing from the property. GPS information from the Ford showed that the vehicle traveled to the parking lot at 73 West 100 North in Vernal during the early morning hours before heading east to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Steamboat Spring Police recovered the vehicle but not the individuals. Inside the vehicle, however, were two citations issued by Vernal City Police in October to Quinton Hogelin and Kristina Gossman. Body camera footage was acquired and compared to security camera footage, providing confirmation that Quinton and Kristina were the suspects in the burglary. On November 15th, Steamboat Springs informed investigators in Uintah County that Quinton and Kristina were arrested in Rawlings, Wyoming after allegedly stealing a second vehicle in Steamboat earlier that day. 43-year-old Kristina Gossman and 51-year-old Quinton Hogelin are each charged in 8th District Court with 2nd Degree Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle, 3rd Degree Felony Burglary, and 3rd Degree Felony Theft.
