The students and families of Discovery Elementary accomplished something amazing in recent weeks as they set out to help feed those in need. A food drive was held and every grade put in the effort to make it a success. Discovery’s 2nd Grade classes gathered a whopping 1,508 pounds of food for first place and the 4th grade classes gathered 1,156 pounds of food. All together, Kindergarten through 5th grade gathered 4,500 pounds of food, donating 5,794 items to fill the shelves of the local food pantries. Well done to the Discovery Elementary Foxes and thank you for setting an example of caring in our community.
