Officers were dispatched to a Fruitland residence last week on a report of assault. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a man allegedly entered a trailer, threw a bottle at a victim, hitting him in the face, shoved over a piece of wood that also hit him before putting a knife to the victim’s chest and telling him that he was going to kill him. The man then exited the trailer, and managed to slash a tire with a 10 inch double edged weapon. 41-year-old Daniel Paul Diaz was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Assault and Property Damage.
