A woman was arrested in Duchesne County last week after an investigation allegedly showed her role in stealing from a Fruitland property owner. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a report of trespassing was reported on November 11th in Fruitland in which the property owner, who had been in the hospital, returned home to find Amber Meikle and her boyfriend at his property and that they had stolen his generator and tires off a vehicle. While Amber had been staying in a trailer on the property previously, the property owner said she had been told to leave on October 31st which she did. The property owner was hospitalized on November 6th and allegedly Amber returned at some point during his absence. Locks had been cut off the trailer and pulled from the frame of the man’s home and the generator which he used to power his oxygen machine was gone. 44-year-old Amber Rose Meikle was located. The officer found that she was an unregistered sex offender and took her into custody based on that and her being non-compliant. Following the officer’s investigation, she was placed under arrest and is charged with Theft for the generator and 3rd Degree Felony Unlawful Transfer with a Financial Card for making unauthorized cash transfers with the man’s CashApp.
