Most know that UBTech provides professional technical education but may not know that local industry plays a key role in supporting technical education in the Basin. UBTech shared a powerful example of this in a press release this week: When leaders from Brady Trucking met with UBTech to discuss workforce needs, the conversation turned to the college’s CDL program. With a waitlist stretching into March 2026, UBTech shared its need for an additional truck to train more drivers. Larry Brady’s response was immediate and heartfelt: “Do they need two?” Brady Trucking didn’t just donate two 2020 Peterbilt trucks—they ensured the vehicles were in prime condition, complete with new tires and mechanical repairs. The gift, valued at over $100,000, reflects Brady Trucking’s deep commitment to supporting education and strengthening the local workforce. Larry, who still drives today, shared advice for CDL students: “Pay attention, listen to your instructor, and be extra careful.” A huge thank you to Brady Trucking and all the industry leaders that support local technical education.
