Multiple people called in a pickup truck with a suspected intoxicated driver on Thursday in Duchesne County. An officer responded and observed the vehicle turning onto Highway 40. After observing the vehicle swerving in its lane and crossing the solid line, a stop was initiated. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, the driver was having a difficult time speaking but handed the officer his license. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform field testing to see if he was safe to be driving. It was determined that he was not safe. Dispatch notified the officer that the driver had multiple no bail warrants for DUI, was an alcohol restricted driver, had a revoked license for an alcohol offense, and had an ignition interlock requirement. 61-year-old Anson Les Manning was placed under arrest. Manning is being held without bail and has been charged with felony DUI, among other charges.
