Educators from UBTech and Daggett, Duchesne, and Uintah school districts joined together this week in Vernal for a day focused on Career and Technical Education. In addition to collaborating with their peers, the conference was a valuable opportunity to hear from presenters, including Dr. Kevin Fleming as the keynote speaker. “Fleming is an educator, author, and public speaker who earned the Association for Career and Technical Education’s 2025 Postsecondary Award in recognition of his leadership in advancing visionary professional development and innovation for postsecondary CTE programs,” shared Uintah School District. Fleming also provided a development session on the ‘4 Skills and 4 Steps to True Career Readiness’. Career and Technical education continues to be a priority for Basin communities.
