An investigation 8 years in the making recently wrapped up in Rock Springs concerning a group’s illegal activity in committing wildlife crimes.
Wyoming Game and Fish issued a press release this week sharing that charges stemmed from an investigation into making false statements to procure Wyoming resident licenses, and the illegal take of black bears, pronghorn, deer, elk and other wildlife in southwest Wyoming when Sean Thomas and his family moved to Wyoming in 2014.
Michael Jordan, Austin Jordan, and Joseph Jordan, all of Stillwater, Minnesota; Kristine Thomas, Wesley Thomas, Taylor Thomas, Roger Thomas, and Sean Thomas, all of Farson, Wyoming; and Tommie Mount of Rock Springs and David Pehrson of Delta, Utah were each convicted of a variety of wildlife crimes.
“The resolution of this case showed the resolve of Wyoming Game Wardens to investigate wildlife crimes and put a stop to the wanton disregard for Wyoming’s wildlife laws,” shares the release. “These suspects accepted plea deals and were held accountable for their crimes and received sentences punishing them for their illegal crimes.”
