Two candidates are in the race for Roosevelt City Mayor. Don Busenbark has lived in Roosevelt for 35 years and has served for the last 6 years on the Roosevelt City Council. He has shared that he is running for Mayor to continue the great things going on in Roosevelt and to give back to the community that has supported his family. When asked about his vision for the City during last week’s Meet The Candidate event held at the Crossroads Center, Busenbark said that with Roosevelt growing quite a bit and with the railroad hopefully going through, there’s the need to grow and keep up with the infrastructure. He also wants to keep the momentum from projects like the gun range, nature park, walking park, and walking trail going. “Roosevelt is a great place with a lot of great people willing to give and support the community and I want to keep building on that,” he said. Early voting is happening in Roosevelt City from October 28th through the 31st during the morning business hours.
