Duchesne City wanted to clarify to the public what to expect from animal control services in the City. “If you ever need help with animal control — stray dogs, lost pets, or animal concerns — please call Duchesne County Dispatch,” shares the announcement. “Duchesne City partners with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office for these services. The deputies do their very best to respond as quickly as possible, but please remember they cover the entire county and sometimes have to prioritize emergencies first.” Duchesne City also shared that they have explored hiring an animal control employee, but for now, they will continue to work closely with the County to make sure residents have support when animal issues come up.
