Election ballots are showing up in mailboxes around the Uintah Basin and Vernal City residents will have the opportunity to vote for two open City Council positions. Incumbent candidate Ted Munford is passionate about serving Vernal City and hopes to continue to do so. “I have served on Vernal City Council for many years,” shares Munford. “I am proud of the work we have accomplished in revitalizing our community, cleaning up dilapidated areas, supporting small business growth, and providing fun and exciting community events. I am devoted to the wellbeing of Vernal and will always be proud to represent our wonderful citizens.” Munford also shares that he believes in “government entities being extremely responsible with public funds” and “keeping laws and ordinances as minimal as possible in order to avoid over-reach.” He also emphasizes that he loves our police force and other first responders with all his heart. “This is a great place to live, and it’s all made possible by the amazing people that live here,” concludes Munford. “I would be happy to continue my work as a Vernal City Councilman for as long as my community will have me.”
