Tickets are on sale for Uintah High Theatre’s production of ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ showing this month. Uintah Senior Lucas Harrison says this is one of the most complicated plays he’s aware of by Uintah Theatre. “We are using every type of technology and skill,” shares Lucas, who plays Ronald Weasley in the show. “Our set builders are working incredibly hard. Volunteers are dedicating so much time and it’s really going to evoke a type of story that is going to be natural and authentic even with the magical story being portrayed.” Lucas also shares that while this is a spoken play, music is used to great effect. “The soundtrack is integrated with the magical actions, the dialogue, and the climaxes and there are some pretty great dances in the show that are involved in the storytelling,” he shares. The show’s story follows Harry’s son, Albus, who struggles with his family legacy and befriends Scorpius Malfoy. The pair get into plenty of trouble using a time-turner, creating dangerous alternate realities that must be resolved. ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ will run October 24th and 25th and October 27th through the 30th, with showtimes at 7 p.m. each night.
