Drugs found in a home where children live resulted in felony charges for the home owner. Officers were at the home for an inspection when cause was given to receive a search warrant for the home. During the search, officers found a black plastic trash sack containing distribution amounts of Marijuana. Inside the home owner’s bedroom was located a container and items that tested positive for Fentanyl, as well as a glass vial with brown paste that tested positive for Fentanyl. Drug paraphernalia, psilocybin mushrooms, a full prescription bottle labeled Gabapentin prescribed to another person, and more drug related items were also located in the bedroom. The drugs and paraphernalia in the home were located where the children living in the home could easily access and likely had been exposed to. The items identified as Fentanyl were specifically noted as within reach of children. The home owner, 36-year-old Heather June Marron, was arrested on the highway in front of her residence. She was transported to Duchesne County Jail. Marron is charged with 2 counts of 3rd Degree Felony Endangerment of a Child as well as other drug related charges. The Affidavit of Probable Cause also detailed allegations of sex trafficking in the home to be investigated as well.
