The favorite Halloween event that supports local charities is back for its 7th year. “Hotel Vernal Haunt returns to downtown Vernal and this year’s Haunt is longer and bolder than ever before!” shares event coordinator Quinn Bennion. “The historic Hotel Vernal holds shuddered spirits, vampires, mad scientists and other creatures. Do you dare enter the shadowed halls of the abandoned hotel?” There will be 10 nights of fear starting Saturday, Oct 4th and running every weekend to Halloween. “Hotel Vernal Haunt is organized by a dedicated volunteer committee and it takes 80 volunteers a night to produce the quality haunt experience,” explains Bennion. In addition to the new rooms in the Haunt, Zombie paintball has been added this year and as always, escape rooms are available for reservation throughout the month. Finally, to experience the Haunt without the jump scares and gore, the UN-Haunt tours are October 3rd from 5pm to 7pm and October 25th during the Mayor’s Walk. The charity beneficiaries this year are Friends Against Family Violence, Project Alley, Utah Foster Care, and KLIC. For tickets, schedules, and more information, visit hotelvernalhaunt.com.
