A Union High athlete deserves recognition this week. Union Athletics shared on Thursday that the school 5K record has officially been broken. “This last weekend, the cross country team competed at the Border Wars Invitational,” shares the announcement. “The team competed extremely well with the vast majority of athletes achieving their all-time best in the 5k. Hunter Horrocks had a standout performance as he broke the school record in the 5k with a time of 15 minutes 51.68 seconds. The previous school record holder was Paul Squire who ran it in 16 minutes 1.1 seconds in 2021.” Congratulations to Hunter Horrocks on the new 5K school record and congratulations to the entire team on so many standout all-time best performances.
