The annual agreement with the Utah Department of Agriculture to provide predator control was before the Uintah County Commission on Monday. The state agreement provides $14,000 dollars in grant funding to be matched by $7,000 from the County. That $7,000 dollars is provided by private landowners in Uintah County and the total funds are used primarily to control the coyote population. The Commission approved the agreement. Also before the Commission was an interlocal agreement to fund an engineering study to explore the factors that contributed to the flooding last fall in Duchesne County and western Uintah County. Uintah County was the last of the partners to consider the agreement for approval. The total design fee is $14,500 dollars to be covered by the agreement partners. Each entity’s cost breaks down to $4,000 dollars each from Duchesne and Uintah County, $3,000 dollars from Tribal Irrigation/Duchesne County Conservation District, and $3,500 dollars from Ballard City
