Patrons have another resource offered at the Roosevelt Branch Library for staying connected. “In the past year, Duchesne County Library’s Roosevelt Branch received a $16,700 grant to add laptops for patron use in the library to their services. The basis for the grant came from patron feedback surveys gathered in late 2023 requesting some digital literacy courses,” shares Duchesne County Library Director Daniel Mauchley. The laptops have made possible the launch of the library’s monthly digital literacy courses held on 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 5:30 PM. The laptops are also now “available to borrow for in-library use including videoconferencing and interviews, personal study, and to support patron-sponsored workshops in the library’s rooms. Those who desire to host a public event at the library utilizing these new resources are invited to contact the library.” The Duchesne County Library System has emphasized their gratitude for the agencies that made the grant funding possible through the Library Services and Technology Act.
