Rocky Mountain Power has announced that planned power outages are taking place in Uintah County with a big one scheduled next week. On the night of Tuesday, September 9th, a planned power outage is happening in Vernal that will affect approximately 6,755 customers. The start time is listed as 11:30pm and the outage is expected to last until 5:30am. This 6 hour outage is occurring in order to maintain equipment. “We know power interruptions are never convenient and greatly appreciate your patience,” shares the announcement from Rocky Mountain Power. “Some work can only be safely performed when the lines are de-energized. Our crews will take all steps possible to minimize the length of the interruption. As a precaution, please unplug any sensitive electronic equipment during the interruption.” All citizens are urged to plan ahead for this outage.
