Roosevelt City administration and citizens are excited about the increase in communication offered by the recently launched Roosevelt City website. The January City Council meeting was live streamed on the website, adding a huge dose of convenience for citizens eager to keep informed but not in a position to attend in person. “It is a great opportunity for people to be part of the government even when it is not convenient,” shares Roosevelt City Manager Ryan Snow. “We want to increase the public’s involvement and this elevates communication in a comfortable way.” Citizens can watch the meetings live or watch them later. The City has worked to provide this feature for several years but it could not move forward until the building’s technology was updated with fiber. Snow also says the website, www.rooseveltcity.com, will serve as an excellent tool for potential visitors to Roosevelt.
