Vernal City has opened the door on some possible changes ahead for the Vernal Innovation Hub location. Vernal City announced this month that they have listed the Innovation Hub building for potential sale to test market interest. The building formally housed the Vernal City Police Department and City Hall and was eventually repurposed to house the Innovation Hub. The building recently appraised for $2.4 million dollars, prompting the sale exploration. “City officials are open to relocating the Hub to a downtown location if the sale price is sufficient to fund a new facility,” shares the announcement. “The Hub will continue operations regardless of a sale. If sold, the City will lease back the building for up to two years during the design and construction of a new Hub. Vernal City remains committed to the Innovation Hub’s mission of supporting small businesses and local economic growth.”
