A local singer/songwriter has released a new lullaby album with a very special purpose. Crystal Thomas has called Vernal home since 2021 and in recent years has been a community favorite performer on stage at Outlaw Trail Theatre and Vernal Theatre Live. Her album, ‘Dreaming in the Glen’, is a collection of gentle Celtic-inspired lullabies she wrote and recorded herself. “‘Dreaming in the Glen’ was inspired by my love for music’s ability to bring peace, comfort, and imagination,” shares Crystal. “With my Celtic heritage, I’ve always been drawn to the timeless beauty of Celtic melodies. I wanted to create lullabies for dreamers of all ages, music that soothes the heart as much as it quiets the mind. One track, Two Stars Above, is deeply personal; it was written for my two babies in heaven, a way to hold them close and honor their memory through song. It’s actually available for free on my Bandcamp to anyone who would like it.
