While on probation on similar charges, an Altamont man was arrested this month for allegedly sending a naked picture to a 13-year-old victim. 18-year-old Wyatt Ringo Brown was an Altamont High School Senior at the time of his arrest in April for alleged crimes involving a 12-year-old victim. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Wyatt Ringo Brown had been communicating with the victim on an app called Pengu that included Brown sending nude pictures of himself. In March, Brown offered to take the victim to the store to buy her some food but drove to the park instead where he kissed her, placed his hands on her, and allegedly exposed himself. Wyatt has been accused of similar behavior previously with another victim which was charged and handled through the Juvenile Court system. 18-year-old Wyatt Ringo Brown was arrested on April 28th and charges of 3rd Degree Felony Dealing in Material Harmful to a Minor, Enticing a Minor, and Unlawful Kissing of a Child are still in process in the court system. In that case, he was released with conditions from jail the day after his arrest. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, the new charges filed against Brown allege that he sent a naked picture to a new victim through Instagram in July. There were also several other instances with the 13-year-old victim. During one of the instances, Brown was alone with the victim in a vehicle and would not let the victim out while making sexual advances that were rejected by the victim. Wyatt Ringo Brown was arrested on August 1st while on pre-trial release for the charges from the April arrest. The pre-trial release is now revoked and his new charges include 3rd Degree Felony Distribution of Material Harmful to a Minor and Unlawful Detention of a Minor. When interviewed, Brown admitted to sending the naked picture. This time Brown is ordered to be held without bail. Brown’s arraignment on the charges from the April arrest was scheduled for next week in 8th District Court.
