Indian Canyon Corridor Project Update

The Indian Canyon Corridor Project continues to advance with traffic delays and stops ongoing during work hours. There are three separate construction zones with reduced speed limits and two of those zones have traffic control stops. At Milepost 291 on Highway 191, crews are preparing to widen the road shoulder for easier turning. This is near Skitzy Canyon Road and travelers can expect traffic to be controlled by a pilot car.
There will also be a pilot car guiding traffic from Milepost 272 to 275 where crews are building the foundation for a passing lane and chain-up areas. At Milepost 285 on Highway 191, there are reduced speeds but no traffic stop currently at this location which is at Right Fork Canyon Road.
The project in Duchesne City at the US 191 and Highway 40 intersection will have temporary lane closures as crews paint the road. The new traffic signal is expected to be turned on by the end of this week.
