Vernal City Issues Reminder Of Parade Safety

The 4th of July parade in Vernal was a fun success but did prompt conversation on social media about safety issues, specifically when it comes to observers going into the roadway. Just in time for the 24th of July parade, Vernal City shared reminders for parade safety. “Don’t be a road-roaming raptor,” shares the reminder. “Parade like a pro and stay safely on the sidelines. Parades are a dino-sized good time, but safety comes first. Keep yourself and little hatchlings back on the sidewalk and always stay out of the road.” Another reminder is that the floats and vehicles can’t stop on a dime. “Grab your candy after it’s tossed your way, not while it’s still rolling,” shares Vernal City. “Always be alert around moving wheels. Let’s all enjoy the celebration without any close calls. Roar from the sidelines, not in the streets!” The 24th of July parade starts at 10am on Thursday on Vernal’s Main Street downtown.
